We recommend you to fly to one of the following airports, as they are the closest and the most affordable airports you can fly to when headed to Ljubljana from abroad:

- Ljubljana (LJU) – Slovenia: the flights to this airport are usually pricier than the other flights listed below, but the advantage lies in the fact that it’s the closest airport to the capital city, Ljubljana. More information about this airport and its connections to the city can be found here.

How to get from the LJU airport to the capital: we recommend you to take the local bus which goes from the airport to the center of the city. Duration: approximately 45 minutes.  In case you there will be more participants landing on this airport, we will arrange special taxi.

- Vienna (VIE) – Austria: this airport is located in Austria, a neighbouring country of Slovenia. The flights to this airport are known to be among the more pricey ones and the airport is far away from Ljubljana. More information about the VIE airport can be found here.

How to get from the VIE airport to Ljubljana: we recommend you to get to Ljubljana either by train or bus. Duration: 4 – 5 hours.

- Graz (GRZ) – Austria: this airport is also located in Austria. However, it’s known to be a destination for low-cost airline flights. More about the GRZ airport can be found here.

How to get from the GRZ airport to Ljubljana: we recommend you to get to Ljubljana either by train or bus. Duration: 2 – 3 hours.

- Zagreb (ZAG) – Croatia: this airport is located in Croatia (Zagreb), another neighbouring country of Slovenia. It’s a two-hour drive from Ljubljana. More information about the ZAG airport can be found here.

How to get from the ZAG airport to Ljubljana: we recommend you to get to Ljubljana by train. Duration: 2 – 3 hours.

- Budapest (BUD) – Hungary: this airport is located in Hungary, another neighbouring country of Slovenia. Due to its long distance from Ljubljana, we urge you not to fly to this airport. More information can be found here.
