The Student Organisation of the University of Ljubljana (ŠOU Ljubljana) is a democratically organised community which represents students’ interests, works for their realisation and helps ensure quality study courses and the variety and quality of student life.
In terms of its organisation, ŠOU Ljubljana is one of the most representative university student organisations in Europe.
KOMISP is a Slovenian association of international students’ organisations, gathering 23 of the most active ones. Every year, they enable more than thousand Slovene students to go abroad for various congresses, expertise meetings, summer universities and language courses.
Some organizations also run an exchange program that offers lots of students and recent graduates the opportunity to live and work in a foreign country. All organizations of KOMISP are:
- non-profitable
- educational
- non-governmental
- non-political
Members of the aforementoned organizations are primarily voluntary students.
Si.mobil
As the first private mobile operator in Slovenia, Si.mobil presented its services to the users in March 1999. Thus, competition started to develop in the Slovene telecommunications market. The prices of services and mobile phones started to fall, quality grew and mobile telephony became accessible to all users.
The company has won numerous awards and obtained many certificates for its successful business performance. In the field of coordinating professional and family life, the company received the Family Friendly Enterprise certificate. Si.mobil is also respected among employment seekers who have consequentially recognized the firm as one of the most respectable Slovene employers and awarded it the Reputable Employer certificate. As well as that, Si.mobil has also been recognized as being one of the top employers in Slovenia by receiving the award “Zlata nit” (”Golden Thread” in English). The Si.mobil – Vodafone brand has also earned great respect and won the internationally acclaimed Superbrands award.
Atlantis Water City
The Atlantis Water Park is the latest acquisition of BTC CITY, a unique facility in terms of its architecture and range of products and services, making BTC CITY the largest business, shopping, recreation, entertainment and culture centre in all of Europe, visited by more than 18 million people each year.
Three thematic modules:
The Atlantis Water Park offers three thematic modules (Adventure World with a special kids’ area, Thermal Temple and Sauna Land), which are interconnected and spread over two floors, with each offering its own image in architectural and contents terms.

Founded in 1986, IEDC-Bled School of Management in Bled, Slovenia, was one of the first business schools in Central and Eastern Europe. Over the years, it has offered more than 900 management and executive education programs to business people from more than 70 countries. The school accepts about 3,500 students a year, 80% of whom come from countries other than Slovenia.

Faculty of Economics
The FELU’s graduates can be found in the highest positions in Slovenian and international companies. The FELU’s professors have been on supervisory boards of key Slovenian companies, have served as members of the Board of the Bank of Slovenia, government administration, as rectors of the University of Ljubljana, as members of the Presidency of the Republic of Slovenia, and ministers in its governments.

Pivovarna Union
Pivovarna Union, a most modern European brewery with a 143-year tradition, is located in Ljubljana, the capital city of Slovenia.
